Were the outdated
union not of some very
high value to England and
the English, why would
they fight so to try to
keep it?

There are only so many
slices to a pie, for one to
have more, another must
have less.

Lastly - to those Scottish
"Loyalists" - to whom are
you loyal?
Scots royalty died in the
1700's so it can be no
Scots crown - And
certainly not it appears to
those who came before,
that bled for Scotland
and her freedom !  
Crail, Wemyss and Kirkcaldy are famous for haddies
Stirling may boast o' her salmon sae fine
Aberdeen o' her crabs, cockles, lobsters and speldanes
But the fat Glasgow Magistrate grows in Loch Fyne
There's eggs in the Highgate, there's tripe in the
Briggate
King Street has flesh and there's kail in it too
In Stockwell, a wealth o' baith meal and potatoes
The Trongate will fit ye wi' hats and wi' shoes

Auld London has plenty o' things that are dainty
Edinburgh's wealth, baith physic and law
But gie me a toon that's fu' o' guid fellas
Glesca can bear up the best o' them a'
Ye may gang o'er tae France where ye'll caper and
dance
And there ye'll find a' thing that's gossy an' braw
But at hame ye should tarry and no cross the ferry
For Glesca has whisky and guid ale and a'
