Both Sides Now
Bows and flows of angel hair, and ice-cream castles in the air, And feather canyons everywhere; I've looked at clouds that way. But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow one every one, So many things I would have done, but clouds got in my way. I've looked at clouds from both sides now, from up and down, And still somehow it's cloud illusions I recall; I really don't know clouds at all. Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel As every fairy tale comes real; I've looked at love that way. But now it's just another show, you leave them laughing when you go, And if you care don't let them know, don't give yourself away. I've looked at love from both sides now, from give and take, And still somehow it's love's illusions I recall; I really don't know love at all. [Am] [G] [D] Tears and fears and feeling proud, to say "I love you" right out loud; Dreams and schemes and circus crowds; I've looked at life that way. But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say I've changed. Well somethings lost but something's gained in living every day. I've looked at life from both sides now, from win and lose, And still somehow it's life's illusions I recall; I really don't know life at all.

A simple brief thought on Scottish Independance. Were the outdated union not of some very high value to England and the English, why would they fight so to try to keep it? There are only so many slices to a pie, for one to have more, another must have less. Lastly - to those Scottish "Loyalists" - to whom are you loyal? Scots royalty died in the 1700's so it can be no Scots crown - And certainly not it appears to those who came before, that bled for Scotland and her freedom !

In the words of Burns, as he wrote from the heart. Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled, Scots, wham Bruce has aften led, Welcome to your gory bed, Or to victorie. Now's the day, and now's the hour; See the front o' battle lour; See approach proud Edward's power, Chains and slaverie. Wha would be a traitor-knave? Wha can fill a coward's grave? Wha sae base as be a Slave? Let him turn and flie: Wha for Scotland's king and law, Freedom's sword will strongly draw, Free-man stand, or free-man fa', Let him follow me. By Oppression's woes and pains! By your Sons in servile chains! We will drain our dearest veins, But they shall be free! Lay the proud Usurpers low! Tyrants fall in every foe! Liberty's in every blow! Let us Do - or Die!!! Choose your destiny.
