| Perth The rune means something hidden, an initiation or a secret matter. One of the mystery runes, Perth points to that which it is beyond our power to manipulate. It should be noted however that this rune is on the side of heaven, associating with the bird of everlasting life, the Phoenix, which rises from it's own ashes. Receiving this means that deep transformation forces are at work within, though we may not even know what these forces are on a conscious level. Know also that anything achieved here will not be easily shared. On a brighter note, it can also often portend surprises, gifts or good fortune which was completely unlooked for. With respect to human nature, this rune is symbolized by the flight of the Eagle, soaring on thermals with a dynamic panorama in it's vision. Primarily, nothing external matters here, except as it shows you it's inner self. With this rune, nothing less than renewal of the spirit is at stake. Allow everything else to slip away. If this rune is drawn Merkstave, or reversed, the counsel is to expect little to avoid disappointment, and to release the old, as what has worked in the past |
