| A simple brief thought on Scottish Independance. Were the outdated union not of some very high value to England and the English, why would they fight so to try to keep it? There are only so many slices to a pie, for one to have more, another must have less. Lastly - to those Scottish "Loyalists" - to whom are you loyal? Scots royalty died in the 1700's so it can be no Scots crown - And certainly not it appears to those who came before, that bled for Scotland and her freedom ! |

November 13, 2008 – it was an interesting day
in Scots media yesterday // today. On the day
that the pound dropped to it’s lowest
recorded level in many, many years @$1.40’s
and saw it’s lowest ever $1.17 against the
Euro – the lead media stories were
“SNP Spends 20K on eastern Saltires”
(Scotsman) and
“Brown to target tax cuts at low income
families” and a lead in the political section of
the Herald –
“Brown’s presence felt at the G20”, while
later the penman acknowledges that Brown
himself has had to back of his earlier claims ,
and instead put’s it like this
“Enter Mr Brown from across the Atlantic. He
understands the subject, he's hailed by Nobel
prize economists, but he has noticeably
backed off the over-the-top rhetoric from
earlier in the week when he claimed, in his
Guild Hall speech, that Britain was leading the
world on recapitalising banks and giving a
fiscal kick to the ailing economy.” – All this on
the day that the British pound, that barometer
of national fiscal health, plummets to it’s
lowest level in years.
It is literally inconceivable to us that the
following simple questions are NOT being
asked by UK media in general and Scots
media in particular (if such exists in the
present day as an independent investigative
unbiased thought provoking entity)
In addition - we now have an effectively
BANKRUPT UK Government still spending
OUR MONEY on these issues.
. At least £8 billion on wars
